What we have today is a sympathetic restoration retaining a superb patina . The restoration was carried out by two very proficient vintage motorcycle enthusiasts , One having owned the Panther for many , many years relaying the story that this Panther was once the property of well know Edinburgh based engineer David Gow who was with P&M from 1927 to 1933 , Setting up his own Panther specialist business in Edinburgh after leaving Panther Motorcycles . The motor was stripped and rebuilt , The gearbox overhauled and the clutch replaced , Magneto and dynamo rebuilt and the regulator replaced all made safe by being re wired , Of course a new battery was fitted , New Tyres and chain along with a rebuild on the brakes and replacement bearings were required . Reading the October 2022 Classic Bike Guide article upon this Panther ( supplied with the bike ) it recounts the day the Panther was started for the first time after being brought back from the brink , The carburetor was primed and the motor turned just over compression , One kick and it was away , Quote "I was flabbergasted when it fired up after the first kick" . This is a charming and rare vintage motorcycle which I am told creates much interest were ever its seen . Its unique aged appearance is much admired but its no ornament and its said to ride superbly . I look forward to your interest in this Panther motorcycle , Supplied with current V5C , Invoices and history file , Delivery and Shipping arranged PLEASE CALL for any further information .
