1952 Austin Sheerline DS/ 1 Saloon With Sliding Steel Sunroof , First registered on the 30/ 5/ 1952 in Ayrshire , Original registration retained being DWG671 supported by the original Buff log book . Chassis number DS1/ 9736 . This Sheerline stayed in Scotland all its life up to my self acquiring the car . The 4 owners are documented within the history of the Sheerline . The extensive history claims and supports the mileage of 24, 163 miles to be correct , MOT certificates also support this . The restoration was carried out by a well known Austin Sheerline Club member who has sadly passed away but in brief the latter took on the Austin Sheerline @ 14, 000 miles after it had been been "found" for him in a Multi story car park in Govan where it had stood for some 25 years , A full record of the restoration is supplied and the DS/ 1 presents superbly to date . An extremely imposing saloon with its beautiful Lucas P100 headlamps , Gorgeous original hide interior and Art Deco walnut veneered dash board . I have covered 60 miles in the Sheerline , It starts instantly and is a joy to drive sitting at a very comfortable 50 MPH , No overheating and impressive oil pressure ,Supplied with current V5C ,
