1954 MV Agusta 175 cc OHC CSS "Disco Volanti" , Frame number 402958 . The OHC CSTL and the CST were launched at the "Milan Show" of 1952 , The advanced unit construct OHC motor setting them apart from the other manufacturers , State-of-the-art duplex loop frame incorporating the engine as a stressed member, Swinging-arm rear suspension and full-width alloy hubs. 8,800 rpm and 84 mph on tap . Optional Earls - type race developed front forks . Featuring a sculpted fuel tank, almost circular when viewed from above, that soon gained it the popular name 'Disco Volante' (Flying Saucer). The 'Disco Volante' was soon MV's best seller. Production of this highly successful model continued until 1958. Our example presents superbly and would stand out in any collection .
