WARRANTY
Any motor vehicle offered or sold is offered/Sold as a collector’s item and not as a means of transport. Buyers are specifically warned that any vehicle sold as such may well have had parts replaced and paint renewed or be made up of parts from other vehicles the condition of which may be difficult to establish. As the seller/Agent we rely on information as to the date, condition and authenticity provided by the vendor or former keeper. it is the responsibility of the Buyer to ensure that the vehicle offered for sale conforms to the description in the advertisement. The purchaser will make it their responsibility to check for defects both mechanically and cosmetically upon a vehicle offered for sale unless pointed out or noted by the seller/Agent at point of sale. As the seller/Agent we cannot check or verify the authenticity of the chassis or VIN number under which a vehicle is offered, but we rely on the vendor or former keepers’ description or documentation provided. Buyers should take particular care to verify in advance of purchase the authenticity of a vehicle that is claimed to have important racing, rallying or ‘ex-works’ history as it was common in period for a competition vehicle of a single identity to have more than one chassis, body or other mechanical components. This may have happened several times, both in a vehicle’s ‘works’ career and thereafter in private owner hands. Sometimes ‘works’ vehicles were fitted with different registration plates, so that a vehicle could meet a particular event’s start date deadline. These historical factors may lead to there being in existence multiple and competing claimants to the same vehicle identity. We do not prepare vehicles for competition or race and if such a vehicle is purchased from ourselves it is the purchases responsibility to complete thorough checks and prepare the vehicle for such events themselves.
No Warranty or Guarantee is given with any motor vehicle or item sold by Spinning Wheel Classic Cars LTD unless agreed at the time of sale. Any Warranty or Guarantee of authenticity will be given in writing at the time of sale if such a warranty or guarantee of authenticity is to apply.
